नेपाल पाटन घर भएकी हाल अमेरिकामा अध्ययनरतनेपाली चेली कन्चन अमात्य अमेरिकन काँग्रेसमा युवा तथा बालबालिकाको हितमा काम गर्ने अवसर प्राप्त गरेकी छिन् l उनलाई नेपाली युवा तथा बालबालिकाको पक्षमा वकालत गर्न छनौट गरिएको हो l अमेरिकन संसद प्रतिनिधि सभा तथा अमेरिकन काँग्रेसमा उनले यस्तो जिम्मेवार पाएकी हुन् l सानो उमेर देखि नै सफलताको खुट्किलो चढ्दै निरन्तर रूपमा कदम माथि कदम अगाडी बढाउदै गरेकी अमात्य काठमाडौँ सेन्ट मेरिज पढाई पश्च्यात नर्बेमा युनाईटेड वर्ल्ड कलेज नेपालको तर्फबाट प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै १२ सम्म छात्रवृतिमा अध्ययन गर्ने मौका पाएकी हुन् l जसको माध्यम बाट उनले विश्वका सबै महादेश नेपालको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने अवसर पाइन l मेधावी छात्र भएकै कारण हाल ओक्लाहोमा विश्व विद्यालयमा युडब्लुसी डेविस छात्रवृति अन्तर्गत पूर्वस्नातक (अन्डर ग्रजुएट )तहमा अध्ययनरत छिन् l

हामीसंग कुरा गर्दै कन्चनले भनिन आफूले यस्ता विभिन्न राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सङ्घ तथा संस्थामा काम गर्ने मौका पाउँदा अवसर नगुमाउने बताइन l कन्चन भन्छिन आफ़ुलाई एसियाको वृद्धि तथा विकासमा पुनः परिभाषित गर्न निकै अभिरुचि भएको बताइन l उनले अगाडी भनिन यस्ता मानव परोपकार तथा मानव समुदायको लागि सेवा गर्ने अवसर पाएकोमा आफू गदगद भएको बताईन l अमेरिका जस्तो देशमा अमेरिकन संसद प्रतिनिधि सभा तथा अमेरिकन काँग्रेसमा समेत नेपालको युवा तथा बालबालिकाको हितको लागि काम गर्ने सुनौलो अवसर पाएकोमा आफू निकै उत्साहित भएको बताइन l उनले थप गर्दै भनिन यस्ले सारा नेपाल र नेपालीको शिर उच्च मात्र नभई युवावर्गलाई उत्प्रेरणा समेत हुने आफूलाई लागेको बताइन l

विश्व व्यापी रूपमा बालबालिकालाई समान तथा गुणात्मक शिक्षा उपलब्ध गराउन अमेरिकन प्रतिनिधि सभा तथा अमेरिकन काँग्रेसको माध्यमबाट नीति निर्माणको लागि सफल प्रयास गराउनु हो l विश्वमा करौडौ युवा तथा बालबालिका पाठशाला जान नसकेको अवस्था छ कन्चन अमात्यले भनिन l यस विश्वका कुनै पनि कुनामा रहेका सबैले समान तथा गुणात्मक शिक्षा पाउन भन्ने आफ्नो चाहना रहेको बताइन l अमेरिकन काँग्रेस द्वारा शिक्षा सबैको लागि (एजुकेसन फरअल बिल )एचआर ४४८१ तथा शरणार्थी शिक्षा बिल (रिफ्युजी एजुकेसन बिल ) को लागि पारित गराउन पुरा कोसिस गर्नु हाम्रो मूल कर्तव्य रहेको अमात्यले भनिन l यसै गरी उनले गत वर्ष गर्ल्स काउन्ट एक्ट २०१५ युएस काँग्रेस बाट पारित गराउन ठुलो मदत गरिन जुन अहिले अमेरिकाको कानुन भएको छ l यो कानुनले नेपाल जस्तो देशलाई यस्ले सुनिश्चित गराउने कन्चनले बताइन l

अमात्य क्लिन्टन फाउन्डेसनको परियोजनाको दीर्घकालिक माछा पालन कृषि फारम कि सह संस्थापक हुन् भने सयुक्त राष्ट्र सङ्घमा युवा तथा बालबालिकाको पक्षमा सहभागिता समेत जनाएकी छिन् l उनले गरेको मानव सेवाको लागि उनलाई बिल क्लिन्टन फाउन्डेसनले पुरस्कृत समेत गरेको छ l यसै गरी राष्ट्रपति भवनमा व्हाइट हाउस को कार्यालयमा भएको विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि नीति बिषयक गोष्ठीमा वक्ताको रूपमा प्रस्तुति समेत गरी सकेकी छिन् l राष्ट्र सङ्घमा नेपालको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने सबै भन्दा युवा महिला भई प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने अवसर पाएकी छिन् भने यस अगाडी उनले सयुक्त राष्ट्र सङ्घको साधारण सभामा वक्ता बनेर झन्डै पैतिस लाख जनसख्याको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै बोल्ने अवसर समेत पाएकि छिन् l

The girl who bleeds from eyes and ears but doctors don't know why

This is Marnie-Rae Harvey who bleeds from her eyes - but doctors don't understand why.
The 17-year-old says she can't really go out and has no friends any more because she's "always in the house".
She's seen eye specialists, gynaecologists, haematology experts, neurologists and paediatricians to try to find the cause.
"It burns and then if it covers the pupils of my eye I can't see," she tells Newsbeat.
The mystery condition also affects her ears, nose, gums, scalp, fingernails and tongue.

It all began when the teenager, from Stoke-on-Trent, started coughing up blood in March 2013.
That continued for a couple of years until she woke in the night in July 2015 with her face covered in blood. She was bleeding from her eye.
Her parents called an ambulance. "The paramedics were just shocked because they've never seen it before," she explains.
"When I got to the hospital they looked in my eye but everything was clear.
"They can bleed and it can cover my face with blood and in seconds it's just gone completely white back to normal.
"I had blood tests and they came back fine."
For the next two weeks her eyes continued to bleed every day.

"Then I was in the shop and both my eyes and ears started pouring and then we had to have an ambulance again."
Marnie-Rae had multiple tests, saw more specialists who found she had a "weakened" immune system but nothing more.
Haemolacria is the medical term for tears of blood - but it is rare.
Causes can include injuries, clotting problems and tear gland disorders - but Marnie-Rae has been tested for this and she was cleared.

Fire killed 25 in Arab's hospital

RIYADH, Dec 24: Twenty-five people were killed and 107 others injured in a fire that ripped through a hospital in south Saudi Arabia early Thursday morning, said the country's civil defense.
The fire occurred in the intensive care unit and the maternity ward on the first floor of the Jazan General Hospital, a civil defense spokesman of Jazan district said.


Yahya al-Qahtany said his agency was alerted of the fire at 2:10 a.m. (2310 GMT Wednesday), and immediately sent 21 teams, including fire brigades, security forces, rescue and medical teams, to the scene.

A clear-up has begun after a violent storm left at least 14 people dead and destroyed homes in several US South and Midwest states on Christmas Eve.
Mississippi was worst hit, with seven people dead, while six others were killed in Tennessee.
A seven-year-old boy, who was inside a car picked up and tossed in the storm, was among the dead.
At least 20 tornadoes have been reported, knocking down trees and leaving thousands without power.
Search teams have been combing through damaged buildings in the affected states, the situation complicated by the fact many people may be away for Christmas.

Dec 27, 2015- Nepal crashed out from the league stage of the Saff Championship losing 4-1 to hosts India in their last Group 'A' match at the Trivandrum International Stadium on Sunday.

Needing a clear cut win to qualify for the semi-finals, Nepal had a bright start when Bimal Gharti Magar scored in the third minute of the match but India hit back with two goals from Chhangte Lallianzuala and one each from Rowlin Borges and Sunil Chhetri.
